Little League Baseball: authorities' comments

"Little League Baseball is one of America's finest exports of good will and a proven vehicle for instilling values and leadership qualities in impressionable children. For this cherished childhood experience to flourish and benefit more than a million boys and girls in Poland, and all of Europe, a permanent training facility for volunteers, coaches, umpires and program administrators is essential. Most importantly, however, while my parents' homeland faces new and exciting challenges as a free and democratic society, future generations of Polish and European children must learn today that teamwork, responsibility and discipline are fundamental principles necessary for success. Little League Baseball teaches these lessons. Little League Baseball's European Headquarters project has my full support, and I appeal to the generosity of corporate America and especially to the benevolence of Polish-Americans to help build this dream, and ultimately build better people."
